Guest
Hi there! I have been trying to optimise my page for search engines. I sell hip-hop beats. Firstly, i have noticed that the key phrase 'beats com' has a hight search volume and little competition. my website is called ssbeats.com therefore if i use ss beats.com as the text on my pages, will this make a difference or is it pointless? Bascially will google recognise the speace between the ss and beats? Im also slightly confused! Firstly, when i change something on my site. How long until i can expect to see results? Each time i make changes to my meta tags, description etc. Does it reset my rankings in google? Any sugguestions would be great thanks!
Victor Wise
I don't think you are going to accomplish much by putting ss beats.com at the bottom of your page. The worst SEO mindset is thinking you can get to the top of Google by playing dirty. Okay, so you used to be able to use blackhat dirty tricks and bank from it; but these days, being sneaky with google is EXTREMELY hazardous. Anyways, forget about getting natural rankings with this beats.com Personally, I don't think its worth your time. What you could try though, is targeting beats.com in an adwords campaign. Just make sure that you don't use the keyword: beats.com in your advertisement. Instead, use an advertisement that has a matching landing page already existing on your site. This strategy is the lesser of the evils because while your CTR won't be as high, you will prevent your quality score from being butchered. You would have to use ss beats.com throghout the page for it to make a difference. But they will see beats.com as a unique keyword. But if that is the name of a site that ranks well, it probably won't help you. You need to target the keywords that is driving the traffic to that site. When you change something on your site, it can take from a few weeks to months for it to have an affect on your postion (if it will at all). It depends on how well placed your site is initially. You need to be sure that the change is noticed before deciding to replace it with something else. Otherwise, you will be caught in a continuous loop of changes. Jack good seo standards are critical to decent placement. adwords: unless you are willing to spend a large amount of capital for web advertising, adwords is not even a repsectable option. Rarely ever seen and often placed inside of invisible frames. If it is seen, most people could care less about contextual advertising. No reason to spend $300+ per month for a 0 conversion rate. Adwords wanst some serious capital for great placement. I won't mention this particular site: But one website, for $30,000 per month will guarentee the client at least 50 million views right smack dab in front and center of the users without using pop ups or anything. 50 million is a monster load of ad views. So, without respectable amount of capital for a marketing campaigns that can be targeted to specific markets, it can be difficult to embark in this direction. Just my opinion.
