Yokimato2
I recently installed osCommerce for my webstore. The only modificiation done was the installation of Admin Access 2.2a (& bug fix) The installation went smoothly and the only problem I've encountered so far comes from my modifications to the Payment Module. I was capable of Installing the PayPal payment module, but when I try to EDIT it's options, and UPDATE them, the changes aren't saved. This isn't happen just for PayPal. It's true for all of the payment modules. I can't seem to be able to modify them. :'( I'm able to add products and make changes to all other fields in osCommerce, so my only trouble exists in the payment module. Am I overlooking something? Directories are CHMD to 755... I'm hoping someone can help me. I searched the forums, but couldn't find someone with a smiliair problem. Thanks in Advance... Guest
I had this problem too recently on a site we developed. I had to go into the databse and search the configuration table and change the values in the table. I used phpmyAadmin for searching and updating the database. You will have to the code for the module you are trying to change, so you know what to look for. sorry can't be any more specific, the configuratrion table is kind of messy
Yokimato2
Thank you for your Reply, Mike. I came to that conclusion as well and attempted to do this, but I had a much more difficult time finding where to enter it in the database (with phpmyadmin) Can you offer any keywords that might help me out? If not, then I'll just continue seeking them out. Thanks in advance. If anyone else has a possible solution, please let me know.
ozEworks
The database files he is referring to are configuration and configuration_groups. One of the groups is hte payment modules. It might be easier for you to reload these two tables with their default values. But what he is saying is that you need to manually uninstall the modules. There is one record in configuration that says which modules are installed - edit it. But you may also have to edit/remove relates records. If you don't 100% know what you are doing then as I say maybe better to reload these two tables from the default.
