Guest
does using the /images folder for ALL of your product image slow the page load versus putting them in a /category_name/images/ folder (with considerably less photos)?
Guest
Why should it slow down? It won't, don't worry :). Technically, arranging folders that way could slow down the server by a small fraction of an amount, and at least for extremely large sites. The overhead associated with the extra directories, the increase in HTML script size (because of the extra names), and the required updates for all your PHP files and sizes would contribute to that :). The only downside for putting everything in one directory is organization.
