Customer Information getting mixed up?

I am running an OSCommerce store, and last night something strange happened.

I received an order adn 9:48 pm. All is good. The info was as follows: (changed to protect the innocent:

Customer:

John Doe

123 Main St.

Anytown, MO 65656

Shipping:

John Doe

123 Main St.

Anytown, MO 65656

Billing:

John Doe

123 Main St.

Anytown, MO 65656

I received another order at 10:00 pm. This one had the following info:

Customer:

John Doe

123 Main St.

Anytown, MO 65656

Shipping:

Joe Blow

321 Maple Ave.

Othertown, CA 121212

Billing:

Joe Blow

321 Maple Ave.

Othertown, CA 121212

OK - this can be explained. John Doe had an account, and made a purchase for Joe Blow. Unusual, but explainable.

I then received a third order at 10:09. This time it was:

Customer:

Joe Blow

321 Maple Ave.

Othertown, CA 121212

Shipping:

no data

Billing:

no data

What is the strangest thing is that on this third order, the order was for nothing except the shipping charge of $4.95. There was no products. The whole order was for $4.95.

Has anyone seen anything like this, or can offer a theory on what may have happened here? I tried searching the forum before posting, but was not really sure what to search for. Your comments, thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry, but i cannot offer Free support via PM etc, and osCommerce forums prohibit me from putting any reference to paid support in my signauture.

However viewing my profile may provide links to my website or something like that which you may find useful.

my guess would be something in your database. If you have PHPMyadmin, go look at your customers and see if everything is lining up right.

I don't really know too much about this system yet but thats where I would look first

No, i think it is a session ID problem.

Your site has listings in Google with session id on the URL.

http://www.google.com.au/search?q=site:www.fridaygroup.com

Someone has followed this link, then made a purchase. The second customer has followed the same link, and placed an order too. However, old info was in the database under that session.

Make sure you have "Recreate Sessions", "Prevent Spider Sessions" turned on. Your store will take a while to relist, but "Recreate Sessions" will make sure a new sessions is started if someone follows one of those links.
