Any suggestions? i can't advise you on this specific question cos I don't use HTC, but what I can say is the more changes you need to make to install a contrib the more likely you make mistakes and get lost. Next time try something simpler: A simpler Alternative to HTC. Any suggestions?See if you have the HTXX boxes unchecked in admin->Header Tags->Text Control for the index section and be sure there is text in the fields for that section. By implementing the simple alternative will having htc still installed affect it. I can probably take the code off at the top of the pages. Jack_mcs Posted January 11, 2007 Share Posted January 11, 2007 I'm not familiar with that contribution but be aware that "simple alternative" is a misnomer. All of the other meta tags contributions are simpler to install but none of them offer the SEO advantages of Header Tags. Setting your site up properly for the SE's is one of the most important things you can do to ensure its success. It is not an area where you want to cut corners in order to save some work. Just my opinion, of course. In answer to your question though, all of the meta tags contributions use the same code to display the title and meta tags so you would have to change that part, at least. You can try forcing a refresh by holding down the ctrl key and clicking the refresh button. That sometimes works.
