dareu2forget Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 I'm thinking of using osCommerce for my store. As of now I am using ZenCart, Which i'm not to happy with. I was wondering if i am able to customize oscommerce to this extent, and/or if this site is using osCommerce. The site is http://www.r3mnant.com/store/ Thank you for ur feedback in advance. I'll be tinkering with oscommerce.
jpweber Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 What's your question? Can you customize it to that extent? Yes. You can do so the easy way -- by using some template system, which, in my opinion, is NOT recommended due to search engine optimization complications, as well as contribution installation complications. Or you can customize it the more time-consuming way, using stylesheets and contributions, and coding. This will be better for contribution installation, SEO, and simplicity for future modifications. Either way, the answer is "yes" -- you can customize your store like this with OSC.
