puzzlezone
Hello :) First off, thanks for all of the great help you all have offered in the past! I have a new question, one I can't seem to find the answer to. I was hoping to make a button that customers can enable to show inactive items. I'll explain: When a brand new internet only customer comes in, I don't like having out of stock items showing, sometimes there's a lot of them, and most folks don't want to wade through a bunch of out of stock items, so in this case, I want the default to be to NOT show inactive items. The second scenario is a customer who has visited our regular B&M retail store, or an online customer who is willing to wait. I would like them to have the option of viewing ALL items, inactive or not. This way, they can request an out of stock item, but not actually buy it online until it is back in stock. (I can figure out the request part). I would then notify them when the item they wanted is back in stock. I don't suppose there's a contribution for this type of thing? I couldn't find one. I'm not a PHP expert by any means, but if I at least had an idea of what kind of changes would be needed, and where, I could probably figure it out. Is there some way I could make it so the customer can enable 'show inactive items' just like I can in ADMIN? Thanks a bunch! Jeff

Jeff You could make a small tweak to this contribution to suit your needs http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ch,out+of+stock
