Jack_mcs
It depends on how you decide to handle payment. If you choose paypal, then just create a paypal business account and use the paypal module in the shop - all done. If you use authorize.net, then you have to apply for an account with them (I wouldn't revommend this for a new shop). Whichever way you choose, they will allow you to accept Visa - after all, it is everywhere! :) Jack Quote Support Links: For Hire: Contact me for anything you need help with for your shop: upgrading, hosting, repairs, code written, etc. Get the latest versions of my addons Recommended SEO Addons
Leo_ttt
Thanks Jack. I wonder for something else. In my country we dont have these payment modules. For example if someone has a mastercard of a Greek bank how can it work in this case?

The first is a payment gateway (such as authorize.net) and the second is a merchant account provider. The merchant account provider oftentimes (especially outside the US) is a bank. Perhaps authorize.net would be able to point you in the right direction. Another good way would be to find another small e-commerce store in Greece, call them and ask them how they solved the problem.

Hi Leo, I'm setting up an e-shop in Athens and I've been searching for a bank to handle the credit card transactions. Millenium bank, Alpha, Peiraios Bank can handle both Visa and Mastercard you may need to visit their business 2 business departments and talk with them. If you're going to sell in EU or third countries you may need to have some VAT and Tax issues. I've been to my DOY several times and I'm not sure that they know what is really going on with e-commerce. Agis
