Guest Posted January 8, 2007 Share Posted January 8, 2007 Im about to start my own business and wish to have an online store and have come across osCommerce and think it is a great looking piece of software, there are only a few questions i have as i have tried some other open source software which really didn't meet my requirements (and emptied my pockets) 1. How well is this for Australian buyer (how does it handle GST) 2. Is there a delivery method of calculating weight for delivery and not postage per item. (1st item weighs X amount so it would cost his to delver and item 2 weighs X amount so that is this much to delivery but gives a grands total, Also in that the ability to add items together so if two items CAN be pack together you have the choice of combined shipping as to say) Separate question from the software kind of What is the best way too accept money ive chosen PayPal but does this software accept other ways and in your own personal experience who have you used and why If some Australian people using osCommerce could answer these questions as well it would be greatly appreciated. Well, I am no Australian, but may I suggest you go to the live shop section and browse a few Australian osc shops and find the answers yourself. If they can do it then you can. Even if they haven't done it, the chances are you may still be able to perhaps with th ehelp from some others.
