everbeta
dear all, i just installed OSC and it seems there is only one image which can be loaded for an item, that is really not enough, also the image is very small after uploading, is there any way to upload more images for one item and the image can remain big?? thank you very much
Guest
You can install this contribution, which'll allow you to upload an unlimited number of extra images: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ch,extra+images Make sure you read the installation instructions very carefully. I recommend starting from Extra Images 1.4 by ***orchid*** at 16th Nov, then upgrading to ***orchid*** at 24th Nov, then upgrading to Admin mod (use product names instead of models) IGNORE PREVIOUS ENTRY by Kaiser at 1st Dec. To have images larger, set it at the Config panel. Make sure the size you set it matches the size of your images. The settings here are rudamntary at best, images set to lower sizes will still load the full image, wasting bandwidth and the testing the patience of your customers. So I recommend another contribution that'll give you better control of how small your images can be (from a large base image): http://www.celtware.com/im/
everbeta
hi Bob, thank you very much for your help. sorry i am very new on this, do you mean i need to install it by the following steps? 1. first installl Extra Images 1.4 by ***orchid*** at 16th Nov 2. secondly Install ***orchid*** at 24th Nov 3. last Install Admin mod (use product names instead of models) IGNORE PREVIOUS ENTRY by Kaiser at 1st Dec. i think Admin mod by Kaiser is developped by another person, not orchid, so can I just install Admin mod by Kaiser once? do i have to install the two version of orchid first? thank you
Guest
Yes, do it in the order you listed. Reason why is because they're not all full updates. The first one by orchid is a full update (on the 16th), but the rest are small updates. When you install the first version, do not read the original readme HTML file. Instead read the install.txt file for the install details. Read very very carefully, because its not formatted properly :).
