HelleM
I've been reading about Paypal - but still I'm not sure? This one seems to be the most downloaded PayPal Shopping Cart IPN v3.1.5 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1753 This one seems to be the newest: osCommerce PayPal IPN Module v1.0 For 2.2MS2 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2679 How I would like it to function: 1). Customer does NOT need to be a Paypal member 2). Customer can EASILY choose between paying with credit card or Paypal 3). Customer STAYS on my website while filling out credit card info 4). Customer does NOT need to reenter his/hers adress fields etc. during checkout 5). In case the customer regrets the buy - the order does not get entered in my system until the order is completed all the way. I set up a sandbox account so far - other than that I haven't done. Very unsure of what to do and choose... Please, if you can guide me in the right direction - I'll be SO HAPPY Helle :-)

Please, if you can guide me in the right direction - I'll be SO HAPPY Helle :-) here is some good answers: 1) Customers doesn't need to have a paypal account to purchase. 2) Customer does have a choice of what Credit Card to choose from. 3) The customer will be directly to paypal to make payments outside of your website. 4) Customers doesn't need to re-enter there information at checkout. 5) If customer doesn't wont to buy anything and leave the paypal without paying. The order or purchases will not be completed. Wade Morris Amarillo, Texas Before you do any changes on your site you need to do BACKUP! BACKUP! They are just by different authors. The second one is the better to install, in my opinion, since it doesn't requires any files to be edited. Once you have the module installed and set up, it will handle the payments as you want. However, you will need to go into your paypal account and set the option to allow checkout without being a member. Jack_mcs
Don't worry about those settings. Just leave as they are. Also, don't try using the sandbox. It works but is not straightforward and will just confuse you more. All you need do is ensure you have a business type paypal account (free) and set the module up to use it. Also be sure to set it to live. Then have someone test an order for you. If it works, you are are all set. If not, post here with the problem.
