GregZ
I have been working on a new store to replace my old store. I wanted to keep the look and feel similar, but have the better usability and function of an OSC site. Any and all feedback is appriciated. It's still a work in progress so there still time for change. The index page has not been replaced yet. The idea is to keep it simple and easy to navigate and not try to dazzle people with fancy graphics. I have added several contributtions: 3_Sizes_of_product_images_Update_for_22ms2_v1.10 aboutus CVV 1.24 Fed Ex direct 2.05 New_Account_Email_Store_Owner STSv42HTS259_1 the old non OSC site for comparison- it's LIVE, so do not place test orders ! : http://www.magnumhp.com/ the new OSC store in test mode : http://bigblockscamp.com/catalog/index.php
Andrew Yuen
A few suggestions: In your header you should include a logo. It is hard to tell what's going on in the background picture of your header. I would remove the Magnum HO to the right of "Test Site. I would remove the "-> and product count" in your categories infobox. I suggest you remove some infoboxes from the right as they are causing massive amounts of white space in the body. A major improvement from your existing site layout. Andrew Yuen osCommerce, Community Team
GregZ
Thanks for the input, I do appreciate it. The "Magnum HP" in the header is actually an old original logo. The backround of the logo is a layered image of misc. parts and car oriented stuff. I am going to leave the header for a few months after the transition, then I will change it to be simpler and have the new logo. I just don't want to change too much at once so that current users don't think they are at the wrong site. I agree about the logo to the right of the "test site" It needs to go. I also need to resize all of the manufacturer logos also so they look nicer. The info boxes are throwing me off a bit- there are some that don't appear until you put something in your cart or log in. I'll have to try to re-arrange them so they don't leave spaces. I have to get busy re-editing pictures and adding products. I also need to add the phone number to the header
