E.G I want the title "vehicle specific parts" then under this list the categorys Ford, Nissan Etc and a second one called "manufacturers" and list the categories like Blitz HKS etc... How do i edit the categories.php to do this? Or can anyone recommend a contribution that does this? preferably with admin integration? Many thanks! :thumbsup: Hi You have to set up the categories and products in levels... ie admin / catalog > set up new cat. "vehicle specific parts" click on that to open then new cat. "ford" stay in the folder "nissan" the good thing with osc is you can move products and catergories if you have got them already... ;) personally I would create a "vehicle specific parts" then add the spares and , link this product to a manufacturer because you will have to keep creating the same categories over again...(link them to the maufac, when creating the product - create manufacturers first admin/catalog/maunfac.) people can browse but manufac. by the the drop down.... cheers hope this helps russell Rusty ------------------------------------------- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted January 24, 2007 Share Posted January 24, 2007 I am looking to do exactly the same thing - eg. not cascade categories, as everyone can do that through the admin interface. I am looking for a way to add title lines within the category box that are not part of the tree itself (and which cannot be clicked on) but rather which act like separators within the category list itself, so I could have three sections of categories, each of which would be somewhat independent from the other two sections in the categories box.
