MadAlien
I have been battling a session problem for about 3 months now and have been quite unsuccessful at fixing it. I have made the recomended updates from oscommerce without luck or fixing a problem and making another one. Originally, when my customers put a link to our site on the web they were putting the oscsid on the link that created a cart and account sharing issue. I fixed that but now have a new issue. Some of my customers are having the site lock up when the oscsid is in the url. I have at least found that if a customer uses our site address austinhomebrew.com without the www. in front of it, then the customer will get the oscsid in the address bar. But only for one link, then the next link they click it will disappear. Some of the customers have very recently started having a hang on the first link click if they have the oscsid in the url. If they remove it then they are on their merry way with a valid session and no longer has the session id (oscsid) in the address bar. But a few customers dont understand how to remove that or it is still locking. I cant recreate the hang and all the workstations in the store are able to use the site without problem. One dude had a firewall, another has Windows XP64, and another a beta of vista. Plus a good list of people that have no clue what they use and how they use it. Using Firefox 1.5 or 2.0 vs ie6 or ie7 doesnt seem to make a difference. Is there an issue with XP64 or Vista? Or is their a known bug in osc? Or should I just tell vista beta and XP64 nerds to get an OS that works? Im confused. I have only started having the problem in the last month. I did the session, compatibility, and navhistory updates about 2 months ago. Any help would help. Thanks!
