Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/zero/public_html/cmb-records/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

Does anyone know how i can change the permissions to get it off the top of the site please? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks. (I use core ftp le). I've tried right clicking on the file in the ftp but no option comes up to set the permissions.

Then you will need to try a different ftp program or take a look at your hosts control panel. Most offer a way to set permissions from there.

If you are setting the permissions with an ftp program, they may not actually be changing. Some hosts won't allow that. Try changing them from your hosts control panel to see if that works.

How do I set the permission? Found one menu in my host control panel that can change the permission for each file. It has this check box:

Owner: Read Write Execute

Group: Read Write Execute

Everyone: Read Write Execute

Chmod value: ???

What is the correct setup?

It depends on the host but typically all files (escept for the configure file) should be 644. All directories should be 755 (or 777 if your host requires that).
