brocky
This message is written on the top of my website: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/zero/public_html/cmb-records/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Does anyone know how i can change the permissions to get it off the top of the site please? Any help greatly appreciated, thanks. (I use core ftp le). I've tried right clicking on the file in the ftp but no option comes up to set the permissions. Jack_mcs
Then you will need to try a different ftp program or take a look at your hosts control panel. Most offer a way to set permissions from there. Jack_mcs
If you are setting the permissions with an ftp program, they may not actually be changing. Some hosts won't allow that. Try changing them from your hosts control panel to see if that works. Jack_mcs
It depends on the host but typically all files (escept for the configure file) should be 644. All directories should be 755 (or 777 if your host requires that).
