Moving the osCommerce folder

Hi Forum,

Let me start by saying I am a newbie!

As I am preparing my store, I'm thinking a subdomain name (shoppingcart.mydomain.com) would be a good way down the line to manage stuff. Can anyone tell me what to do to reset location stuff once I move the osCommerce folder to the html of the subdomain?

Is this a good idea to setup in advance a sitemap plan such as this subdomain on my domain?

Thanks much.

A shop on a subdomain is a fine thing.

I did this for one of my shops. You can see it:

All you need to do is to move yourfiles to the folder the subdomain is configured to and then make the appropriate changes to the includes/configure.php file and to the admin/includes/configure.php files. Then you should be good to go!!

Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!!

You did do a backup? eh?
