seCret steVe
We are now selling things. And hopefully someone starts the buying trend. I have completed all the testing on the site and it is as stable as i can possibly make it. Have run into no problems with it as of yet. Which is nice. Now the layout took some time to reconfigure as it is nice to have a css file to edit and vola....i have added tons of hacks and addons to OCS and even wrote a couple of my own odd and ends....which will never be released due to the problem that i never really kept track what i was doing....lol Well enjoy everyone: www.nstial.com click catalog And thanks to OSC Steve Webmaster for N'Stial* Audio Community (*In Style*) Enjoy Sidenote: This is not an advertisement. burt
Looks pretty OK to me. I'm always unsure about running a commercial E-Commerce site with a dark background. I always think that lighter coloured backgrounds inspire confidence in your products and services more than dark colours...
CC
Would have to agree the site looks ok. And I would also agree that dark colours make me think the worse as a site loads up. unless the domain name is obvious, I generally think a dark site may well end up being a porn site. Obviously yours is not this, but when I used to work for another company where internet use was heavily monitored I used to close a dark coloured background site before it loaded, it was more than my job was worth if a porn site opened up on my screen. This is just my experience as one user, others may not agree, but it is worth noting as others may view it this way or may be in the same situation at their work. CC. CC
One other thing Steve. Some of your manufacturer images are too big for the page and makes your right column look so big it is getting daft. I would alter this so they do not effect the column, it does look a tad unprofessional. CC.
CC
Sorry, me again. Last time I comment honestly... Have you considered making your images transparent? the continue, back etc buttons would look so much better if they did not have a white background. IMO. CC. Guyver
Nice to see another finished site :).... The only thing I found when I put my site live was a few 'customers' moaned about txt being too small, so I upped the pixel size by 1 in the css stylesheet (10px>11px) and it made a whole lot of difference even though its subtle...... I'm glad to say I've sold over ?3k worth of kit now, so I'll be sending some more 'donations' once I get my hands on the new checkout code :) John www.itsupplies.net
