Guest
I am not too familiar with db stuff... I would like to add the oscommerce db to an already existing db in this case XOOPS, a portal like nuke. It would be handy if they could work together, but not important. They do not even have to know about each other... I just don't want to pay for another db... Thought i would ask before i start hammering away and screw something up
burt
Make sure that none of the existing tables for xoops have the same name as the Osc table names. So long as none are the same you are OK - if there are some the same then you need to either; rename all of the Osc tables to something like osc_tablename (do this in PHPMyAdmin and then update the settings in [i think] application_top.php in catalog/includes and admin/includes or pay up for another MySQL database. Guest
success! thanks following that logic... If one rename tables to something slightly different, you could run multiple stores on one db?
bazus
When I went to your site I thought you had ported oscommerce to xoops, but I see that you just installed it outside this CMS.
