nibl69
I am thinking of switching payment options after reading the horror stories on the PayPalSucks website. It seems that PayPal may not be the best solution for us. From what I can tell, Linkpoint and Authorize.net are the two main REAL merchant account providers. If you go through Cardservice International, you can get pretty decent rates with Linkpoint, which seem to be alot cheaper than Authorize.net (as far as monthly statement fees, etc). So can anyone offer advice here? Are you satisfied with Linkpoint and is the Linkpoint API contribution available here on the site a solid effort? NatronsMean
I am using merchantanywhere, and I hate it. URL is not available about 10% of the time, and is giving my customers fits. I picked them initially because of their low rates... I am considering switching to authorize.net - anyone out there have a solid merchant account? GanodermaCoffee.com
I love linkpoint, but their are some customizations that you have to make if you want to work with certain contributions. One of the ones that I am dealing with right now deals with CCGV, which someone just added to the forum so that is fixed. Other than that, I think they are great. I have not gotten to be bigtime in ecommerce, but from what I can tell, it has worked for every transaction for the last 5 years. Evan Quote 800-541-0740 Healthy Coffee. Healthy Income. realhotstuff
I've used linkpoint for almost a year now and the worst part of it was that sometimes the customer got charged but the order was not saved to oscommerce. I don't know what caused it, but lots of customers emailed about the problem. It was kind of bad when that happened. Does anyone have the same experience with Authorize.net or have a solution to it?
