Arsenal21
Hi there, I would like to know what the easiest way is to edit text in the Shipping & Returns, Privacy Notice and Conditions of Use pages. Also, how do you add fields to the registration form? Thanks :)
Jack_mcs
You will need an ftp program and a php editor, both of which are free. Download the file to your computer, edit it and upload again. There are contributions that allow you to edit files from admin but they introduce other problems so are not the best choice. Jack whenever i change my policy in privacy.php from 'Put here your Privacy Notice information.' I get an error saying invalid syntax. I do not understand why since all i am doing is replacing the text all the other code is exactly the same. Is there some limit to the amount of words you can use in privacy.php? Does it throw up an error if they can't all fit on the page when viewing the site?
Jack_mcs
You are most likely using an apostrophe incorrectly. Post the text and error so someone can find the problem. c-m
i managed to get it to work by reducing the amount of text (more customer friendly anyway). the apostrophes were not touched.
Jack_mcs
When you reduced the amount of text, you most likely deleted the text that contained the apostrophe causing the problem.
