knanders
Hi! Did anybody knows a tool to rebuild the cache after updating / inserting products or categories? It is really boring waiting for about 5 and more seconds for articles the first time you select a categoy after updating products. Cause we use a lot of categories, it always takes sometimes to click every item. Greetings from Germany Knut
mattice
Ehhhm... isn't refreshing them through the Admin enough? Or am I misunderstanding your question? In Admin -> Tools -> Cache press the 'swirly' sign, that refreshes cache as far as I'm aware. knanders
Thanks for the answer! BUT: That button reset the cache and you have to rebuild the cache again by clicking in each line of the catalog :(
mattice
The whole idea is you don't have to.... once somebody goes into your category the cache file is created automagically. I don't see the point in PRE-creating the cached version since it is only 1 single user that suffers the time difference of dynamically written vs cache. But if you insist you could create a function to do this for you... you can 'connect' through sockets with php or use something like LYNX from the commandline.
