Possible solution for shipping virtual products problem

Hi to all

 

I have been expermenting with modules,

 

but thought that this may be a very simple solution..

use table based and set as below...

 

this skips the shipping page(if needed)..simple

 

the only thing it still has the billing adress but i think that has to be there for tax purposes..and makes a sale

this is also good if you want have physical products too and you can have a few shiping methods as well..

I have tested this and it seems to work well, but please test first ! :) , together with virtual and physical separately as well... obviously your products have the right attributes set up for virtual ie zero weight -download enabled.

 

(dont leave this 0:0, on its own or you will give someone the option of free shipping if you have physical products!)

basically if the weight is zero for the order then the charge is zero - but if not zero then there is a charge,,
