Creating second table rate for P&P

Hello

I have managed to previously find how to add a second table ratefor shipping, but wrote it down wrong!! :o

I have tried to find it again, but you have guessed it...no trace :blink:

This is what I have so far...

Make a copies of:

catalog/includes/modules/shipping/table.php

catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/table.php

& re-name them table2.php

I have also changed the description of the table2.php in the language file.

I have written down "change TEXT_DEFINE from TABLE to TABLE"" but I cannot see where I need to do this? :blush:

Then upload these two files in the same places & install in admin.

Do I need to do anything else please?

Is it possible to have the second table rate showing in the checkout if the customer picks from a certain category or two? Is this difficult? Or will this way as it stands show both & I have to rely on the customer picking the right one?

Thank you for your help. :thumbsup:

Julie

Hi

OK more searching & no partying! :(

Found this thread:

Here Post #4

In my two files I found ALL the occurances of MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE & changed them to MODULE_SHIPPING_TABLE2

Then I uploaded them & got this error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class table in /home/XXX/public_html/XXXX/inc/mod/shipping/table2.php on line 13

  class table {
var $code, $title, $description, $icon, $enabled;

I do not understand about class table, & would appreciate any suggestions please?

Thanks

Julie

:D :D :D :D I had a brain wave at last!!!

I remebered I had installed on my test shop the local delivery option...Which works, so I have compared the two files & worked out ALL the places I need to change table to table2

Now it works. Thanks for putting up with my waffling, but I'm sure you were all willing me on. :lol:
