Ajax Attribute Manager v2.3b not working right

I have installed AJAX Attribute Manager v2.3b beta and it only seems to work on items with attributes already attached to them. It will not add new attributes to an item. Also I get an error from a call to an undefined function when adding a new item which obviously doesn't have any entries in the attributes table.

About the only thing I can get it to do is edit the existing attributes on existing items. If I try to add an attribute to an item with no attributes nothing happens...no errors are produced/reported and the attribute does not get added.

Any ideas? Is this a bug or is something wrong with my setup?

All I can tell you is that I tried the December 23 version and had pretty much the same problems you describe. I tried the December 13 version with much better results. I just deleted the Ajaxadmanager folder and uploaded the December 13 version in its place. I still can't find any sort order functionality in this contribution.
