zoti
I run one store using OsCommerce. Email was working fine (I sent a news letter and tested it myself using the contact us page) but then stopped working. Now no email is being sent through the "contact us" page or when I try to email a customer through OsCommerce. I have installed the test_email.php page and I get no email through that as well. My host claims they didn't block php email but I find it hard to believe. What could be the problem?
Jack_mcs
The test email script uses php's mail function so if it isn't working, the problem doesn't have anything to do with oscommerce. You should try using an email address that is not related to your site, like a yahoo or gmail account. If that works, then the problem is with your email address. If it doesn't, then there is a problem on the server. zoti
I tried the test script with both an email address from my site and an external one. They both didn't work. Where should I start looking for the problem on the server?

AHMER Had a similar problem on mine, changed over to a new server (same host) but the new one had a different version of PHP installed (4.4.1) I too didnt find a fix for sendmail but i changed to SMTP and it all works fine now.. If you would like to change this it worked for me..... Go to your Admin section then Configuration / E-mail Options SMTP CRLF True False True Now test your contact us page and order process emails.. We are on a Linux server and this works for us :)
