utf8-problems

Bug report (please move to right forum if it's wrong here):

might be browser related.

 

I use english Ubuntu + english browser (FFox) + german shop.

osCommerce seems to report to my firefox that is uses UTF-8. But it actually doesn't.

 

Encoding is automatically set to UTF-8 and looks like this: http://www.juvanus.de/osec/stuff/utf-problem-screen1.jpg

 

If i change the encoding in my browser to Western ISO then the "Umlauts" are displayed correctly. And everything works fine. Changing to english shop (auto-UTF-8) works fine too.

 

I know it's the standard case (eng FFox + non-english shop) but i think there are many users out there who have a similar setup.

 

Please tell me if you have similar problems.
