NEED GUIDANCE ON CREDIT CARD AND MERCHANT ACCOUNT PROCESSING

Hi,

CAn any one tell me any best package which will include SSL Certificate, Credit, debit cards processing and merchant account together?

I do not want to take SSL from one place and then merchant account from another place and credit card processing from third place.

If this is not possible what is a best and minimum cost package available. There are so many shops using this software so need feed back from them as I am really unable to decide which one is best for a small shop like mine. The information available on net is really endless. I need an advice from a person who is using these facilities.

Thanking you in advance.

I think verisign is the only place you can get it all. but geez...they are quite proud of their mediocre products.

i can't recommend any merchant account providers or internet payment gateways because i have not had a successful experience yet. however, i am seriously looking at echo-inc.com

there are many certificate providers from thawte, verisign...but thawte and verisign are invariably under the same owners.

i resell chainedssl certificates and about any type of certificate you can think of. chained ssl is the most cost efficient though, so that is what i urge anyone to get.

Try these guys Authorizenet reseller

They set us up with Authorize.net - which has some super cool features and they can make the payment transaction happen on the gateway side so you don't need SSL. However, you will need to modify the checkout procedure slightly so that the transaction is done on the gateway page. This is VERY similar to the Paypal IPN contrib.

Sir Leo has recommended chained ssl's, so I have to say this:

1. It is against forum rules to advertise your services

2. Chained SSL is strictly for low volume, low use, websites. If you get more than 3 or 4 customers in the ssl area at any one time then chained ssl breaks down (this comes from the providers of chained ssl certs, not from me)

If you use someone like PayPal, then you don't need a Merchant ID.

It's the same if you use HSBC E-secure in the UK (don't know where in the world you are based).

You only need a Merchant ID if you intend to use the services of a gateway payment processing service, and even then you can probably use their shared Merchant ID. By the way - getting a merchant id can take three months or so to accomplish.

I am a merchant account representive for a leading company and I can't tell you how many times I have been asked the same question.

In order to get set up wiith a merchant account for credit card processing. The merchant want's to save money but also wants a company that works. Authorize.net is a wonderful gateway. I havent had a complaint!! Since they were they were bought by light bridge, everything is running woonderful. If you want to shoot me an e-maiil that is ok, you can ask all the questions you want.I get bunchs. And don't mind the corasopondence.

Oh and one more thing- most companies that provide merchant accounts do not provide ssl certs due to the fact of they have to buy them in bulk up front and then resell them.$$$$. Check??
