I really think this may be the solution for my e-computer sales site...i have experence with outher content managment systems (if you can compare) so iam familure with most DB stuff and most php stuff. I do have some questions tho, first off, Is there a module that would allow a drop down type menu where you could choose say diffrernt processors for a computer you want built, much like the customizr feature on most major computer sites (dell, compaq, ect) and aslo there is no themes right? Just edit the files to make it look the way you want? If this is so what files have the layout and colors in them.. Thanks all, i hope the community is as helpfull as it looks. sinful Posted September 27, 2002 Share Posted September 27, 2002 for modifying the colors and fonts you have to edit the stylesheet, for layout stuff, (positioning of the left and right boxes) you have to edit column_right.php and column_left.php and if you further need to edit whats inside the boxes, you have to edit the files inside includes>boxes> as for the drop down menu for customisation of your products you have products attributes you can insert them fro the admin section, for further modification and a complete guide you always have www.oscdox.com a very comprhensive guide to modifying and learning the whereabouts of oscommerce, hope this helps cheers "Stick to the devil you know than the one you don't " Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
