klever Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 HELP !! I'm trying to install the OSC 2.2 and I just get the SQL file does not exist: /public_html/catalog/install/oscommerce.sql message on the Step 1: Import Database. Everithing seems to be Ok. What can I do ? Thank you.
Guest Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 The first thing that I would od is check to see if that file is in the right place and if it is type in the address bar http://yourdomain/public_html/catalog/inst.../oscommerce.sql to see if it get accessed. If it does then it might be a CHMOD issue. if it doesent then your path to that file is bad.
klever Posted September 26, 2002 Author Posted September 26, 2002 Thank you for your answer but when I cut and paste the path in the address bar, the browser shows me the .sql file, so is not a path problem. What else can I do ? Thanks.
Guest Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Change the permissioning on the install folder and also the .sql file.
klever Posted September 26, 2002 Author Posted September 26, 2002 I changed the permissions of the catalog folder, the install folder and the sql file but still doesn't work. I put 777 on them.

Ian Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Posting your username and password to a public forum is not a good idea. While most of us are nice people, you can't be sure who's just popping in. I think a password change is definitely in order. Trust me, I'm an Accountant.
Guest Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 Its up and running. What you need to do next is double check the admin configure.php page and enter the information regarding database configureation. After that i would chnage you usernames and passwords because everyone can see it now and that would be bad.
