Im still unable to click into "My Account" and any account features in my 2.2 version install. I am receiving a 404 error on any https urls

I am not even sure where to begin to seek a resolution to this problem has someone else had this issue before?

The only thing that comes to my mind is check to see if you have input the correct URL to the https server.. try going to https://yourdomain.ext/URL-To-CATALOG/ and see if that works.. if not, check with your hosting company as sometimes they tend to place the secure server on a DIFFERENT server, and you need a special URL to point to your files...

That is the only thing I can think of..

Hope that helps

ok when i type in

https://www.raven-arts.com/emergingstyle/ca...log/default.php i get the 404,

but if you wish you can type in http://www.raven-arts.com/emergingstyle/ca...log/default.php and you will see the page works.

now (oh and thank you for your prompt reply to my question.)

im on my own dedicated server, so os commerce is set up on a virtual server, on the same machine as a default secure virtual server to handle all https requests one does port 80 the other port 443 so im assuming i need to create a duplicate virtual server for www.raven-arts.com under the secure server? does this sound like the corect method? both the secure and the regular server would point to the same document route?

I created a duplicate virtual server pointing to the same document root but set the port to 443 to handle the https request

and im still getting 404 when trying to access https urls.

for the life of me i cant figure this one out, any help even stabs in the dark will be appreciated.

well this problem seems to be a result of a quirk in my setup of my server

heres what ive done

I host others websites in a document root of /var/www/html but for some reason i decided to move my website to /home/www.html document root (dont ask why lol)

so if I type in https://www.baywinds.ca interestingly enough i go to my website under https

my site is www.raven-arts.com if you go to these links youll see that they endup on the same site - this is because i set up a that secure document root redirect i think.

So what im goingt o do is move my site back to /var/www/html and see if that helps.

:D OK i did it - all of this was due to a very quirky server set up i created.

now that my document roots are all consistent my https is working fine.

thanks for your help folks - onward to setting up my store
