Can anyone give me advice on how I can test my PHP changes rather than uploading them onto my website.

Is it possible to set up on a standalone PC an environment where you can install OSC and then test to your hearts content?

Any help or advice would allow me to start devloping big time but I'm not technical enough to set up SQL and other stuff which will allow me to install OSC on my PC and then devlop it.

I don't bother doing backups. I love the thrill of screwing it all up!

Yes, there is an aplication that you coul install on your pc to install the oscommerce on your system, then you could try all your php changes without uploading to your hosting.

This software is "EasyPhP", after installing this, you have to copy the OsCommerce folder into the "www" directory inside the EasyPhp folder and then enter the internet explorer and go to 127.0.0.1, here, you'll start the install process.

If you want more information, just ask.
