Additionally the Parcel Post quotes often are higher than the Priority Mail quotes. Anybody have some experience here to help sort out USPS shipping? Perhaps I've missed something?

Ok.. not sure if you checked this or not, but check to see in the admin/configuration/ under Shipping/Packaging and check how much package tare weight is set to.. seems as though you have it set to 7... change that to whatever you want it to show.. if you don't want to calculate the weight of the box, I would suggest you place 0 there.. and then it will send the weight of the product to the USPS production server only as defined on the product.. no additional weight would be added.. Hope this helps.. oh and yeah.. this is for 2.2 snapshot.. not sure how to handle it on 2.1 if that is what you are using..
Guest Posted September 25, 2002 Posted September 25, 2002 Oh yeah.. aditionally.. make sure you understand that USPS seems to be calculating the handling fee as well, so if you have handling fee of lets say 2.5 in addition to the price quote from usps production server.. again ..Hope this helps..
