By installing either the Purchase Without Account or Fast/Easy contributions.

I have a question about a feature such as this. If a customer uses this feature will the script create the account using the contact information entered into the order form & just not e-mail the customer their login details or will it just enter their contact details directly into the table orders, but if it does this then what does it enter for the Customer ID number?

If you use Purchase Without Account then what it does is to duplicate the Create Account process - except that it does not save the account to the database at all at the end of the process. So - they don't become customers of yours, and they don't subscribe to your mailing list (because they're not a customer). And, as any successful online retailer will tell you - your mailing list is your life-blood.

The easiest and quickest way of getting people through the checkout procedure is to go to osC admin --> Configuration --> Customer Details and set all of the optional fields in the Create Account process to false.

Is it possible to use the PWA & save the account info with out them knowing this?
