product image ERROR

HELP!

 

New user to osCommerce. We've got an older version and I'm trying to add a new product. Everything works fine except the product image. I enter price, product description, model, etc. but when I get to "Products Image" I am unable to upload. Receive this message:

 

Error: Catalog images directory is not writeable: /var/www/htdocs-ssl/catalog/images/

 

I uploaded the image file via FTP but it's not appearing.

The URL for that first image is: https://emergencycare.nsc.org/catalog/images/

 

In order words you have a path but no image file.

 

To correct the image upload problem you need to set the permissions on the images folder to 777. This can be done with most FTP clients.

 

Then try to upload the image again. osCommerce should then append the correct image file to the end of the URL.
