Location of settings for sending mail

catalog\includes\languages\english:

-checkout_succes.php

-create_account_succes.php

-password_forgotten.php

-tell_a_friend.php

That's the place where you can edit all the names, text, etc. used on your shop...(catalog\includes\languages\english). Just check out every file in that folder to see what's been feeding your shop.

Off course see other language folder if you are using a different language like dutch, italian, etc.

I'm not good at english so I didn't explain myself about what I need.

I know the settings in catalog\includes\languages\...

A you told me that is the place where are stored the text used in the shop.

I don't know where to find the text for the mailing. For example, when someone creates a new account, a mail confirmation will be sent by the server, but I don't know how to change the words used in the mail...

...I still didn't find the place where the text of the email is stored.

I have heard that under Linux, with the command 'grep' or 'cat' it is possible to find some word in multiple files. If there are some Linux user, could me explain how to do, beacuse my knowledge in command line is almost 0.
