quandrie1 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Hi, I've searched long and hard but cannot find a solution, yet I'm sure there's plenty of people having solved this problem: I'm making a site which includes oscommerce. How can I continue the session from oscomm outside oscomm?? Ie: someone adds to cart in oscomm, then goes outside oscomm into the other parts of the site, comes back to oscomm: the cart shows empty... Please help with this, just a relevant link would be great. I'm using a mod that fixes register_globals = off issues, I don't know if that has any bearing on this. As I said I really looked all over the place but can't find the solution, yet it seems an obvious problem that a lot of people would have.

Ok, now I'm not a total newbie but have usually used sessions in php and have to admit not to be THAT familiar with cookies. I don't need a link to the php manual for cookies, but any idea on how to transfer the oscomm session into a cookie that's readable outside oscomm, and then being able to return to oscomm and return to the session would be greatly appreciated oschellas, cheers.
quandrie1 Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 Duh, thought I was going crazy 'cause I was sure that I didn't have this problem of losing the oscomm session in another site I did. Turns out that yes, my configuration file was wrong so the cookies were getting lost in space...
