Assistance with Visitor Web Stats

I have installed the visitor web stats contribution and while it does work I can't use the report for visits by days this month. I get the following error:

 

Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /hsphere/local/home/aclema/affordableparties.com/admin/includes/graphs/visitor_infobox.php on line 663

 

 

So far I have not been able to figure out what is going on or how to fix it. I get this error and another when I try to use the visits by hours for Recent 24 hours. Those read:

 

Warning: imagepng(): Unable to open 'images/graphs/visitor_infobox-1.png' for writing in /hsphere/local/home/aclema/affordableparties.com/admin/includes/classes/phplot.php on line 482

 

Warning: chmod(): Operation not permitted in /hsphere/local/home/aclema/affordableparties.com/admin/includes/graphs/visitor_infobox.php on line 663

 

 

I'm assuming they are related but I would at minimum like to use the day this month report.

 

Can anyone shed some light on this subject???

I think you have to loosen up the rights on those directories/files with ftp/chmod

Any idea how I would do that?? All my oscommerce files are edited through webshell and I haven't been able to figure out what exactly I need to change so that it will work.
