Muze Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 Where do I setup the enlarged image that appears when the surfer clicks on the thumbnail?
Guest Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 What version of os are you using - the "enlarge thumbnail is auto matic in the 2.2 version
Muze Posted September 24, 2002 Author Posted September 24, 2002 I have 2.2.... so I should just use my nice large image and let OSCommerce shrink the thumbnail... I think I just answered my own question. My only concern is that the thumbnails will look distorted or crappy and I would prefer to use separate images.
Guest Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 yeah i know what you mean - my products are paintings and photographs and the os thumbnail engine doesnt seem to keep aspect ratio. There is somewhere i heard a contribution in betta that does however, maybe the more experienced os gurrus can shed some light on this.

There's a BigImage mod that's VERY easy to add which allows you to use 2 different pix. The bigger pic pops up in a window, it's a very nice effect. Ed
Muze Posted September 26, 2002 Author Posted September 26, 2002 Where can we find that mod? And the enlarged image already does pop up in a new window.
Guest Posted September 26, 2002 Posted September 26, 2002 I downloaded and installed image_proportions.zip from the contributions section, youll find that if you look up to the very top left of your screen and click downloads - look for contributions and scroll through them that particular mod for 2.2 allows you to upload a large image, I like something around 400 pixles wide, and it automatically generates a thumb with exact proportions. if you want to see it in operation check out my oscommerce installation http://www.raven-arts.com/emergingstyle/ca...log/default.php
