a.com/os is a live site and running well. There is one cusomter wants the similar os site as a.com/os. So i set up the clean oscommerce site (b.com/os) first using cpanel-> fantastico. And then I copied a.com/os (both php files and database) to b.com/os. Now I am trying to change the admin side's username/password for b.com/os using cpanel-> password protect directories, but somehow i could not. I think I may overwirte/mess up the .htaccess files on b.com/os.

How could i fix this problem? Any suggestion about this?

You can add many username and passwords to .htaccess...Contact you host provider they will walk you thru the process... also the is a contribution to allows you to have a admin login in screen...just do a scan on the admin login in the contri area.

I hope this helps
