Discounting in the Store

Here is a interesting request from the store owner: He wants to offer discounts on certain merchandise to certain customers. I have peeked inside ot_discount_coupon_codes and not sure if this does what he is looking for.

 

A perfect example would

 

Customer A recieves a coupon code via email from store owner outside of OSComm.

Goes to the store and either registers and or signs in.

Picks his merchandise.

Enters in his coupon code and if the customer has specific tems selected in the cart then the discount would be applied to those items only not all items in the cart.

Discount is applied before tax.

 

He wants to use the same coupon code with multiple customers if needed. Think of it as a group or membership discount.

 

Anyone have some feedback on the contribution and whether it would work or do we need to find someone to do a custom module?

not sure, have not looked at the contrib, you must be able to set a maximum use for the discount coupon.

I know "easy coupon" can do that, this could too probably, but not sure though
