Remove Product info page?

Hi all

 

I know this sounds like a crazy request but is there anyway to remove the product info page i.e. the page that gives detailed information about the product (Example: http://www.leobackingtracks.co.uk/product_...products_id=21)

 

As my store will be a mp3 only cart I have no need for this page.

 

Also I need to change "manufacturer" to "artist" and add another field for "genre" anyone got any ideas of how I do this?

Anytime a product is shown, like in new products, it is linked to the product_info page. You will have to edit all files that list your products and remove the code for the links. You would also have to remove any links that lead to it, like the Shopping Cart box. You might be able to just add a redirect to the product_info page to that when the code tries to go there, nothing happens. But that might be confusing to your customers.

Is there anyway I can "Add" an extra field in for 'Genre' so when creating the product I can select like pop, rock etc etc?
