Tricky situation... Need help

Hi, I need help! my website is currently hosted with company #1 with ecommerce installed, I just bought a new hosting plan with company #2 to built a totally new website with osCommerce from scratch. Now the DNS points to my old hosting company #1 and I want it to be like that until the new website is finished, but the problem is when I install osCommerce on new Hosting company #2, I can't define my WWW address, my Webserver Root Directory and my Http Cookie Domain to: http://www.mywebsite.com (since the DNS are pointing to the old hosting company #1), I have to put http://999.99.999.9/mywebsite.com/. Is there anyway to built the new website this way and than once the DNS are updated to change back those values? Or is there a better option than this? What should I do?
