Paypal IPN not clearing cart

I wonder if anyone knows what I can do to fix this.

 

I am using Paypal IPN which is functioning correctly except for the shopping cart is not emptied after a purchase is completed.

 

Therefore, some customers are going back and paying again or sending me emails asking if their order went through.

 

Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

 

I have these settings in Admin:

 

Set Preparing Order Status

Preparing [PayPal IPN]

 

Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status

Pending

Which Paypal Contribution are you using? The two that I know of, Paypal Shopping Cart IPN and osCommerce Paypal IPN doesn't need a return address placed in your paypal account. It's done by the script. You do need the Auto-return feature enabled in your paypal account, but you don't need to place a URL in it.

 

Both the above mentioned contribution have documentation to help with setup. I don't know if the Paypal Shopping cart IPN is being supported anymore as I have not seen an update to it in awhile. I know the osCommerce paypal IPN is well supported and kept up to date.
