Changing the HTML of the page

Hi

 

OH oh oh!!! ...(uh oh)

 

I am really stuck here.

 

I have a total mental block

 

 

I want to know how do I change the source code (eg title tag) of the main index page and add more content into it and finally....HOW do I save this onto my website???

 

I just know how to create 1 or 2 pages of simple HTML only.

 

I wish I had read those web language books of mine

 

help me out of my agonising fate
