It shows the warning message like this plz give a good solution. Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /oscommerce/oscommerce-2.2ms2-060817/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

After you make the changes in the Configuration.php, go and use FTP, check that file>get info or Set permissions>and be sure if a file just to read, not to write. After doing this you are not going to get that message again. Good luck ;) ViVi

Guest Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I have the same problem and can't find the solution. I've changed the chmod to 644, 444, and even 440 and it still shows that error. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Aimee
Guest Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I just found a possible solution in post # 981646. It says "Contact your host and let them know that PHP thinks a file with 444 permissions is writeable. They will fix it for you." Hope this helps you. I'll try it tomorrow.
