Can't load picture into new product

I am having problems loading a picture into the product. The pictures are already on the server in together with existing demo pictures. System scenereo: Windows 2000 server, IIS webserver. Doing all of the work on the server directly, not from remote location.

 

I select a picture for the Product Image, browse and select from the proper locations - I click on "Preview" and I get this Error message displayed:

Error: File upload not saved.

 

I even try to load one of the existing demo pictures, and get the same error message. I made sure that the image directories had full access rights.

 

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
