using my website administration for my host on ipowerweb.com

i installed my store in to

/store2/catalog

i'd like to change it to

/store

i can't just change the name and move the contents, cuz it messes everything up

is there a way i can do this?

Yes, and it's recommended you move your site to the root. I'd move it to http://www.yourstore.com/, personally, and forget the store2, store, and catalog folders. Simply move all the files to the root and alter your includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php files.

What about renaming my Admin directory, what's involved with that?

I figure the only way someone can get into my site is to guess my htaccess password, but if they have to hunt for my /admin direcotry first, that'l slow them down.

My website's address is in My Profile, since it's not allowed to be in my signature.

You're exactly right, Sean, which is why I renamed my admin directory. All hackers know when they see an OSC site that they can just do /admin and get to the admin.

Rename it to what you want, and simple alter your admin/includes/configure.php file, and that's all there is to it. Simple. Good idea, and it'll only take 30 seconds.

Good luck.
