Why are <a href> links so tiny?

When I add an HTML link to a product description the link is small text and doesn't respond to any other modifiers like <strong> or <h2> which should make it large according to my stylesheet.css. How can I change this?

When I add an HTML link to a product description the link is small text and doesn't respond to any other modifiers like <strong> or <h2> which should make it large according to my stylesheet.css. How can I change this?

First of all, make sure your changes are sticking. Many people have several different stylesheet.css files. Make sure you're changing the one that's actually being applied.

Here's an example from my stylesheet:

A {
 color: #0000aa;
}

Try changing to something like this. You can remove what you don't need:

A {
 font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;
 font-size: 10px;
 background: #000000;
 color: #ffffff;
 font-weight : bold;
}

A word of caution though. If you change the rollover in the CSS for your links, you can get some odd results. For instance, if you make the rollover BOLD, the text will actually get longer, and as you roll over it, it will shuffle your text around on the screen.

Hope this helps :)
