Shopping Cart empty after login

Hi,

I have a website I'm configuring for an online store using OSCommerce. For now, I am using a shared SSL option to test the site out. When I transfer the domain over, I plan to purchase a dedicated SSL.

 

My problem is this: If I go add a product to the shopping cart (as a guest), it shows up like it should and when I go to Checkout it prompts me to login to my account which is normal. However, after I log in, I get an error saying the shopping cart is empty. Is this a problem with the shared SSL or do I have another issue to worry about? (I don't have any problems if I'm already logged in and add products to the cart.)
