Passing Orders To Another Store Manager

Hi All,

I need some advice or direction on how to do the following: Allow other store owners (non admin) or manager to view order details and credit card information for processing. Ideally customer details and statistics also.

Basically, I host small sites for my clients and install OScommerce for them if the want to do online sales. I have clients that want me to set up the store, input products and prices, etc. This is no problem as they will pay me a small amout extra to do this but the problem begins when it comes to managing and processiong orders. These clients do not have and do not have access to the Admin Panel and they really do not want to have access either due to lack of technical knowledge and computer skills.

Is there a way that I can give them web acccess to only the order details, order status, stats and customer details of the store. Or at least for now, forward the full order details including credit card info, etc. to them by e-mail so they can process it with out my involvement?

At present the client gets notifyied by e-mail that an order was placed but they do nto get CC info and in some cases product oder details. Each day I have to go into the store and change the order status from pending to processing then delivery etc, and the worst part is that I have to copy and past the customers name, CC info and order and delivery details to then by e-mail. They are not very happy with this system as if means their business it too connected to me and in some cases they are delayed in processing due to my schedule.

Any help, solution or similar experiences would be extremley helpful at this point. I have looked at the Administration Access Level contribution but it seem somewhat complicated and with a lot of potential errors especially if I use other contribs.

Please help, I am loosing my mind and possibley customers soon.

Thanks In Advance.

The Admin Access Level contribution is your best bet, unless you want to write your own script. The way you are doing things now is highly inefficient, introduces additional security risks, and provides plenty of opportunities for order mix-ups and delays. I'd tell your clients they have 2 options: 1) take some time to do some training with you on how to properly use their administration area or 2) fork over the cash in installation and support fees for you to install the admin access contribution to limit the amount of damage they and employees can cause out of ignorance or spite.

Let them make the decision.
